Teletha Benjamin Retired. Professional careers in education and social work. Member of Oregon Chapter National Association of Social Workers, Religious Ministries Board NAMASTE. Community involvement includes volunteer, PTA officer, and advocate for Vernon Elementary School. Former member of Multnomah County Juvenile Services Commission, United Way Admissions/Termination Committee, Jefferson High School Advisory Committee, Divisional Board of Salvation Army, Harbor Light Council, Gladys McCoy Scholarship Fund, Interstate Firehouse Theater Board and Metro Area Foster Parent Association Board. Loaves & Fishes Centers involvement includes former member and Secretary of the Board of Directors; served as a member of the Visioning Task Force and Resource Center Development Committee overseeing construction of present building. |
James A. Bock President of E C Company, E C Power Systems. Received BS in Technology, Associates Degree in Supervision/Marketing from Purdue University. Degree in Gas & Electrical Distribution and Transmission Engineering from North Indiana Public Service Company. Worked in the water, wastewater, electrical equipment, industrial engine and power generation area for more than 39 years. Involved with the manufacturing of this equipment for 20 years. Sales, marketing, engineering and operations management experience both nationally and internationally. Volunteer mentor for Port of Portland. Member: Portland Ambassadors Club, NECA Political Action Committee, Chemical Manufacturers Association, Water Pollution Control Federatioin. Delivers Meals-On-Wheels. |
Dr. William Bolen Retired dentist. Graduate of USC School of Dentistry, clinical assistant professor at UC San Francisco, private practice in San Francisco. Volunteer service includes Boy Scout leader, soccer coach, church. |
Worth Caldwell, Jr. Retired. Professional background in funeral service. Former principal of Caldwell's Colonial Mortuary. Received BS degree from Menlo College of Business. Board member of Oregon Pioneer Savings and Japanese Garden Society; former president of Central Eastside Industrial Council; member of Sapporo Sister City Association, Metropolitan Community Action, Portland Junior Chamber of Commerce, Royal Rosarian (Past Prime Minister), Restoration of David Campbell Memorial, East Portland Rotary, Portland Police Retirement Committee, Oregon Cancer Society, Salvation Army, Girl Scouts, Multnomah County March of Dimes, Catholic Charities, Oregon Funeral Directors Association. Donna Elsasser Retired after 34 years from US West/West, the last 20 served as Finance Manager in Revenues, Budgets and Statistics. Native Oregonian. Community board involvement includes Secretary of the Board of the Portland Opera Guild; served on the Board of Directors of Soroptomist International of Portland; volunteer for Northwest Pilot Project, a reader for Golden Hours at Oregon Public Broadcasting, a member of Portland Civic Theatre Guild, and a member of City Club of Portland. Has volunteered for Loaves & Fishes Centers for 26 years serving on the Downtown Center Steering Committee in several capacities, former Board of Directors member and Centers Council Chair, and is Finance Committee member. |

Formerly an Associate Principal with BOORA Architects. Has practiced interior architecture and design for more than 19 years, primarily in the commercial sector. Is a guest design critic for the University of Oregon – School of Architecture. Community involvement includes member of Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, a Master Gardener in Oregon State University’s Extension Program, volunteer artist for “Kows for Kids." Received Masters of Business Administration from Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania; and Bachelors of Science from Oregon State University. Former CPA for Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers in Portland, Oregon); and Systems Analyst for GTE Data Services in Tampa, Florida. Served as 1st Lieutenant in the US Army, Quartermaster Corps. Professional affiliations include Financial Executives International, Portland Chapter; Oregon Society of CPA's and American Society of CPA's. Del Judy Retired teacher. Received BA from Pacific University. Received deaf edcuation from Pacific University and Tucker Maxon School for Deaf. Taught special education for the deaf in Grants Pass and Portland schools. Participated in the Peace Corps in Bangkok, Thailand. Volunteers for Tualatin Historical Association, Washington County Historical Associatin, Pittock Mansion Society, Eastern Star, Pacific University Alumni Board and Tualatin Presbyterian Church. Has been a volunteer at the Tualatin Loaves & Fishes Center for more than 25 years. |
Tom Kelly President of Neil Kelly Designers Remodelers in Portland, Ore. Attended University of Oregon majoring in business and spent four months in Washington, D.C. working for Representative Les AuCoin. Tom is actively involved in: National Association of Remodeling Industry, Oregon Construction Contractors Board, Oregon Remodeling Association, Natural Step, Portland Rotary, Home Builders Association of Metro Portland, Volunteers of America Board. Tom was named Oregon Service Entrepreneur of the Year in 1998 and Rotarian of the Year in 2005. The Neil Kelly firm delivers Meals-On-Wheels weekly and Tom delivers once a month. |

Dr. John Thorpe
Retired physician. Graduate of Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. Former Associate Pathologist and Director of Nuclear Medicine Service at Good Samaritan Hospital and Instructor in Nuclear Chemistry at Reed College. Member and former chair of the Oregon State Energy Council from 1974-1979. Following retirement, participated as a member of various community organizations including The Old Church Society and for the past several years has volunteered as a member of the Elm Court Steering Committee serving as chair for two years. Fomer member and Past President of the Loaves & Fishes Centers Board of Directors, served as chair of the Visioning Task Force overseeing the construction of the present Resource Center building, and is a Site committee member. |
