Volunteer Opportunities
Loaves & Fishes Centers could not exist without the help of more than 450 volunteers every weekday. Our volunteers help prepare and serve meals to seniors in 33 different meal sites throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties, as well as deliver nearly 3,000 Meals-On-Wheels to homebound elderly on an average day.
New volunteer opportunities!
Meals-On-Wheels drivers are needed for Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 4, 5 & 6. Pick up meals at the Belmont Center, 4610 SE Belmont Street in Portland, between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Deliveries take about 90 minutes in Multnomah County. Meals-On-Wheels drivers are needed at our Belmont Center, located at 4610 SE Belmont Street in Portland, on Mondays near Lloyd Center (Aug. 30-Sept. 30 only), and on Wednesdays near Lloyd Center and Thursdays north of Mt. Meals-On-Wheels drivers are needed at our North Plains Center, located at 31450 NW Commercial Street in North Plains. The center provides a van, so no need to use your own car! Pickup meals between 10 and 11:30 a.m. on weekdays. For more information, email mwold@lfcpdx.org or phone 503.647.5666.

- Dishwasher. Shifts available between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Preplate Packer. Scoop food into individual meal trays and seal. Shifts available between 8 to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday.
- Kitchen Helper. Various duties as assigned in the Central Kitchen. Shifts available between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Meals-On-Wheels drivers and cyclists are needed at our Luepke Center, located at 1009 E McLoughlin in Vancouver. Pickup meals between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Deliver once a week or once a month. Drivers needed for Lifestyle Selects frozen meal routes on Mondays. Meals are picked up at the Central Kitchen, 7710 SW 31st Avenue, at 11 a.m. Deliveries take from 90 minutes to three hours (depending on route). Kitchen help needed at our Tigard Center, located at 8815 SW O'Mara Street in Tigard, Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information, contact Jay at the Tigard Center, 503.620.4613.
Clerical Support is needed at the Resource Center during the last week of the month, located at 7710 SW 31st Avenue in Multnomah Village. Come in from 10 a.m. to noon or from 1 to 3 p.m. to help us with mailings! Phone 503.953.9101.
