Volunteer Opportunities
Loaves & Fishes Centers could not exist without the help of more than 450 volunteers every weekday. Our volunteers help prepare and serve meals to seniors in 35 different  meal sites throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties, as well as deliver nearly 2,700 Meals-On-Wheels to homebound elderly on an average day.
IMMEDIATE NEED!
OurLifestyles Program needs volunteer drivers. Pickup meals between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Mondays at Loaves & Fishes' Central Kitchen, 7710 SW 31st Ave. Deliveries are made in Multnomah and Washington counties and take about 90 minutes. No need to return to the Central Kitchen after delivering! For more information, phone Caroline at 503.953.8123.
We need volunteers to lead "Living Well With Chronic Conditions" classes. Leaders will receive FREE training and must have a chronic condition or be a caregiver for someone with a chronic condition. If you are interested, please call Barbara at 503.953.8153 or email bmahoney@lfcpdx.org.
New volunteer opportunities!
Meals-On-Wheels drivers and kitchen volunteers are needed in Clark County. The Camas location at 1718 SE 7th Street needs two Meals-On-Wheels drivers on Fridays. The Washougal location at 1681 C Street neds four Meals-On-Wheels drivers Monday through Thursday. These two centers are also looking for kitchen volunteers. The Firstenburg location at 700 NE 136th Ave. needs three to five kitchen volunteers daily and two drivers. Pick up meals between 10:30 and 11:30 .m. Deliveries take about 90 minutes. Meals-On-Wheels drivers are needed at our Gresham, Lents, Downtown, St. Johns and Cherry Blossom neighborhood centers. Pickup meals between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers needed once a month for field trips! If you are licensed to drive a bus and are interested in taking a group of seniors on a field trip, we could use your help. Elm Court Loaves & Fishes is looking for a volunteer driver. Visit interesting local destinations and lunch is on us. If interested, please call Kelly at 503.988.4485 or email activities@lfcpdx.org.
Clerical Support is needed at the Resource Center, located at 7710 SW 31st Avenue in Multnomah Village, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of each month. Come in from 9 a.m. to noon or from 1 to 3 p.m. to help us with mailings! Phone 503.953.9101.
Volunteers needed to phone seniors to confirm frozen meal orders. Calls are made Tuesdays from 10 a.m. until noon at our Resource Center, located at 7710 SW 31st Avenue in Multnomah Village. Phone 503.953.8123.
