DP Partners has donated $10,000 to Loaves & Fishes Centers to cover the cost of meals served at the Elm Court Loaves & Fishes Center this holiday season. The gift will pay for all meals served on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and weekends from mid-November through the end of the year. The Elm Court Loaves & Fishes Center is the only one of the agency’s 32 locations that serves meals on weekends.
Elm Court Loaves & Fishes Center, located at 1032 SW Main Street, serves approximately 200 seniors daily. For many of the seniors, the meal provided to them by the center is the only hot meal they will eat on an average day. A number of the seniors are low income and have no access to cooking facilities where they live.
“DP Partners’ Foundation wanted to do something that would have an immediate impact on a vulnerable segment of our community,” said Kirk Olsen, Partner - Northwest Region. “We can’t think of a better way than to donate meals to seniors in need this holiday season.”
